2.1 ACCESS (A) Property access. The Customer will provide the Contractor access to the property during agreed-upon hours.
(B) Adult presence: An adult/representative aged 18 or older must be present to grant the Contractor access and remain at the project location while the Contractor performs project work.
2.2 PROPERTY PREPARATION The Customer is responsible for preparing the property for the Contractor’s work, including unhooking (plumbing and electrical) and moving (or removing as applicable) all trim, furniture, electronic devices, appliances, and other work-area items.
2.3 APPLIANCES The Contractor DOES NOT move or remove furniture, electronic devices, and appliances. All rooms must be free of any furniture before the Contractor’s arrival. The Contractor DOES NOT unhook, re-hook, remove, or reinstall any electronic equipment or appliances (hardwired or otherwise). The Customer will need to remove all furniture and unhook and remove all electronic equipment and appliances.
2.4 PLUMBING The Contractor DOES NOT unhook or reconnect any appliance or device (gas stoves, refrigerators, freezers, ice-makers, gas dryers, toilets, etc.) The Contractor IS NOT RESPONSIBLE for any leaks from any gas, water, or other supply lines for any appliance or device after such items are installed, reinstalled, connected, or reconnected.
2.5 PETS The Customer is responsible for removing and securing all pets before Contractor’s arrival and for the project’s duration.
2.6 MINORS Individuals under the age of 18 are not permitted in or near the designated installation area during scheduled working hours for the project duration.
2.7 TIME-SENSITIVE ISSUES If there is a time-sensitive issue, determined at the Contractor’s sole discretion, the Customer will accommodate the Contractor per the Contractor’s specifications without hindrance or interference.
2.8 ACCESS TO CUSTOMER If the Customer decision-maker is not home during installation, the Customer must provide the Contractor with direct cell phone access if questions or problems arise. If the Contractor cannot reach the Customer in two phone call attempts within ten minutes, the Contractor may make a reasonable decision on how to proceed, which could mean additional charges or choosing a different way to apply or finish the project. The Contractor and its personnel cannot and will not be idle because the Contractor cannot reach the Customer.
*(Note: In such cases, the Customer explicitly agrees that it is responsible for all costs of additional work and the appearance and final product if the Contractor cannot reach you).
